Hey, I am a member there as well as having "forked" PaulS's forums and created my own on the topic. The deal is, they are patient with beginners, and I do the post-grad people on my site, which is Science/Engineering/Technical forums. I also have a youtube channel, which I use mainly to store and serve videos that are linked on my own site, which is a better place to put the verbiage. https://www.youtube.com/user/DCFusor has some vids on my experiments and other stuff like my solar power setup (off grid since 1979, you whippersnappers).
At this point no one's over unity that I know of, at least not publicly, but breakthroughs are happening, so there's hope. I use solar power to run my shop and lab here. For now, the more advanced fusors are making good neutron sources, which in turn have uses for things like making medical isotopes a lot cheaper and safer than in fission reactors (and the main one of those, Chalk River in Canada, is shut down for good - ).
